    Established. There shall be a Board of Trustees of the Library consisting of six members.
    B. 
    Authorities and responsibilities. The Board of Trustees represents to the City the interests, issues, and concerns of the library. The Board of Trustees establishes a written policy for the selection of library materials and the use of materials and facilities in accordance with the standards adopted by the American Library Association. The Board has all of the other powers, duties and responsibilities that are given to library trustees by the General Laws.
    C. 
    The Board of Trustees is a regulatory and advisory multiple-member body of the City.
